Google has released its much hyped and anticipated “Google Phone” – the Nexus one on 5th January 2010. This phone was expected to break the industry’s bad traditions and revolutionize the Phone market scenario. By selling the unlocked phones officially, Google has laid a path for the unbelievers. It was advertised as the strongest ever competitor to the iPhone. Since its official release ( and unofficial release), the blogosphere has generated lot of reviews on the Nexus One Phone. As always, only some of them are worth reading and help in deciding upon buying the phone or not. So, we have compiled the following list of Google Nexus One reviews from the Blogosphere for you.
Techtree does a comparison between Nexus One and iPhone. As the Nexus One is the “Google Phone” much sought after by the Google Fan Boys, and being touted as the single big competitor that could give the “iPhone” and the Apple Fanboy’s a run for cover, this review does have a great share of importance.
Engadget somehow always gets hold of those gadgets even before their release. In this review which was released on 4th January (1 day earlier to the official announcement day), Engadget’s Joshua Topolsky reviews the Google Nexus Phone to answer if Nexus One has really lived up to the hype it generated and will it be the flag-bearer to the death of OHA and the rise of Android is autocracy.
Techcrunch’s Arrington gives us a sneak-peak of the Nexus One phone through this review. Though he doesn’t try to answer questions like the other reviewers did, he tries to analyze the device completely and give the honest opinions.
Gizmodo does a review that doesn’t go by emotional intent and is very honest in its opinions. This review summarizes the pluses and minuses of the Nexus One phone without yielding to any influences.
Wall Street Journal’s Walt Mossberg gives out a review of the Nexus One. His review is a bit different compared to the other reviews as it is in all praise for the Google Phone.
New York Times has got a review on Nexus One done by David Pogue. This review is different in the sense that he does the review in a pretty unconventional and unstructured way like a normal conversation.
Om Malik of GigaOM, rather than doing a typical review of its features, shares what it will be like to live with the Nexus One device, day in and day out. In other words, he clears whether or not the Nexus One is worth the hype it has got.
The Nexus One Blog’s review is probably the first ever hands-on review of the Nexus One Phone. This review is the most comprehensive of the reviews and gives details about each and every bit of the Nexus One Phone.
