Google’s GMail has always been a trendsetter application.Everyone knows how it drastically raised your Inbox size, how it sped your email checking, how it organized your filters etc etc.Now the good folks at Google have introduced a whole new feature – “GMail Labs“.Some of you techies might know about Google Labs.GMail Labs is built on the lines of Google Labs.To enable it, you have to click on settings and go to the Labs tab. There you can see the 13(as of now) experimental features of GMail along with their descriptions. You have to enable whichever you want and save the changes. Then you will see your GMail getting refreshed and you will see those features activated. Some of the nice features you can see in the GMail Labs are:

GMAIL Labs Quick LinksQuick Links:This allows you to add quick bookmark links to the left sidebar of your GMail. It helps a lot if you are the one like me who surfs a lot of websites. You can quick bookmark some important links for future use in your sidebar. You can even use it like an online bookmark manager. This doesn’t have so much additional functionalities like foxmarks etc., but it will serve the cause for some quick bookmarking.

GMAIL Labs Mouse GesturesMouse gestures:Another great feature I was astonished with. This will bring the mouse gestures feature to your GMail Inbox. There have been many software and firefox extensions related to mouse gestures, but I think it’s the first time there is a mouse gestures feature inbuilt in a website. This surely is an innovative feature. But this likes some polishing to include some more symbols and also custom mouse gestures.

GMAIL Labs Old Snakey GameOld Snakey Game:This game reminds you of your good old school days where you liked the snake game a lot and played it for ever. Ofcourse it requires some more advancements to get that complete feel.Hope to get it soon

One feature I like is the Email Addict, I hope they’ll keep it for good.
